Elevating Voices
The Community Media Center's Elevating Voices project aims to raise the visibility of diverse voices by providing the access, training and tools necessary for individuals to tell their stories, right in the neighborhoods where they live and work. Currently, CMC is working with the following nonprofit organizations to establish neighborhood media hubs:
- Boys & Girls Club Grand Rapids
- Disability Advocates of Kent County
- Grandville Avenue Arts and Humanities
- Harrison Park Elementary
Prior to this, Elevating Voices teamed up with 12 Grand Rapids organizations to collect stories from our community. Check out some of these stories below:
