Kurt Samuel Vile (it's his real name!) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He emerged as a founder of the indie rock band The War on Drugs but decided to focus on his solo career, subsequently releasing 5 full-length albums and a number of EPs. Of his hit 2013 album 'Wakin on a Pretty Daze,' Fred Thomas of Allmusic guide noted its 'articulate production, extended exploration in lengthy songs, and even deeper looks inward...all approached through Vile's one-of-a-kind fog.'
