Died last night at the age of 89. Got his start in Miss but moved to Memphis where he worked as a disc jockey at WDIA. He played live music as the Beale Street Blues Boy...shortened to BB. Inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame in 1984 and won 15 grammys. He was a licensed pilot who stopped flying at 70.
