A Versatile Multi-Instrumentalist Raised On a Plantation, Nelson Learned His Craft From Henderson Chatmon (Mississippi Sheiks). Renowned Throughout The Delta, He Often Modified His Guitars To Seven & Nine Strings & Played The Laptop Using A Knife For A Slide. Three Of His Recordings Done Before 1941 Are Forever Forged In Blues History. Nelson Recorded Sporadically Till The 1990's But Sadly The Interest In His Music Waned. 12/23/1908 - 11/4/1998 (89)
