a note about this track
Lucinda's tribute to her friend, Blaze Foley, shot to death while trying to protect an elderly friend from a bully.

Lucinda's tribute to her friend, Blaze Foley, shot to death while trying to protect an elderly friend from a bully.
A short edition of "Under The Covers With Deuzer" tonight -- I was not aware this song was written by someone other than John Prine, until Nurse Patty took me to school this week! Instead, the late country-folk singer-songwriter Blaze Foley was the writer. We'll hear his original version next, then a tribute to Foley written and performed by his friend and mentor... Lucinda Williams. The late Townes Van Zandt also wrote a tribute song for his friend, titled "Blaze's Blues."

Funky Food songs for the Funky Food Lady Amy!
Happy belated birthday!
