Today's WYCE Business Day Sponsor is Local First.
Local First is a nonprofit organization that believes an economy grounded in local ownership and sustainable business practices will build local wealth and encourage a joyful community.
This summer, Local First is proud to host the 13th annual Street Party, a celebration of local music, local food, and local beer on June 4. Learn more at local first [dot] com or by calling 616-808-3788.
Support for WYCE comes from Buses by the Beach, presenting its annual Memorial weekend "Bus Benefit." Buses by the Beach is a nonprofit that rallies Volkswagen enthusiasts in support of the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, the world's largest Burn Support Organization, based in Grand Rapids, MI. The event is a family camp-out and music festival at Camp Blodgett, on the shore of Lake Michigan. There will be numerous family-oriented activities including a large raffle, climbing wall and ropes course, Tie dying, Hula Hoop workshop and disc golf course. Live music throughout - including performances by The Way Down Wanderers, Roosevelt Diggs, Third Coast Kings, Fauxgrass, Nicholas James and the Bandwagon and several more local acts.
