For most children, the first day of school is full of excitement. Unfortunately, for many children that excitement is often overshadowed by worry and embarrassment about being unable to purchase school supplies. With the help of the 10th Annual Backpack and School Supply Drive, over 500 children in need will start a new school year with pride. A brand new, fully-stocked backpack helps any child feel more comfortable and confident on their first day. Donations of new backpacks and school supplies may be dropped off through August 11th at Community Media Center, located at 711 Bridge Street Northwest *or* between August 8 though 12 at D.A. Blodgett - St. John's located at 805 Leonard Street Northeast. For more Information & Questions, contact Nicole at wyce dot org
