Born In Waco Texas, Mercy Dee Walton Took The Sunset Route To Play His Piano In California In 1941. A Major Influence On Mose Allison, He Was Equally At Home Singing Slow Blues Ballads, Jump-Blues And Some Of The Nastiest Boogie-Woogie Put To Vinyl. After Jamming A Few Years With Big Jay McNeely, Mercy Dee's Solo Work Adapted Well With The Arrival Of Rock And Roll. Unfortunately, It Was Short-Lived. He Passed On At The Age Of Forty-Seven In 1961.
