A little blues and rock heavy with folk, jazz and a bit of world music thrown in to keep me honest. New music mixed with some throwback artists that most likely have not been heard for a while.
The inaugural "Light Up Downtown" celebration takes place in Rosa Parks Circle on Friday, December 2nd.
This free and open-to-the-public event features Grand Rapids Mayor Bliss lighting the community Christmas Tree, the Synchronized Skating Club of Western Michigan University performs and also provides free ice skating lessons, plus The Holiday's Cheer community caroling group sings some all-time favorites.
WYCE will be on hand to emcee the event, share some music and chat with the community. We're happy to announce that WYCE will provide the musical soundtrack at Rosa Parks Circle throughout this skating season!
"Light Up Downtown" begins at 5pm on Friday December 2nd and is presented by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc, Rockford Construction, and The City of Grand Rapids.
