The inaugural "Light Up Downtown" celebration takes place in Rosa Parks Circle, this Friday, December 2nd.
This free and open-to-the-public event features Grand Rapids Mayor Bliss lighting the community Christmas Tree, the Synchronized Skating Club of Western Michigan University performs and also provides free ice skating lessons, plus The Holiday's Cheer community caroling group sings some all-time favorites.
WYCE will be on hand to emcee the event, share some music and chat with the community. We're happy to announce that WYCE will provide the musical soundtrack at Rosa Parks Circle throughout this skating season!
"Light Up Downtown" begins at 5pm this Friday and is presented by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc, Rockford Construction, and The City of Grand Rapids.
