Born In Louisiana And A Staple On The Chicago Blues Scene For Thirty Years, Andrew "Big Voice," Odom Played With Earl Hooker To Form A Band With Carey Bell & Pinetop Perkins In 1967, Then Sang For Jimmy Dawkins After Hooker's Death In 1970. A Journeyman Blues Singer Who Recorded Relatively Sparingly, His Voice Is Known For its Close Resemblance To Bobby Bland And B.B. King. Recording Only Three Albums, Odom Never Broke Through As A Solo Artist. His Heart Was Into Supplying Soulful Vocal Lines On Many Great Performances By The Elite Guitarists On The Chicago Club Circuit. Odom Passed On In 1991 At The Age Of Fifty-Five.
