Tune in to WYCE for intimate in-studio interviews - and live performances - from local and touring musicians. We bring you up close to some of our favorite acts as they share brand new songs - often before they're even released - with stories and insights behind the music.
Then, check out "WYCE dot org" for an audio archive of recent in-studio performances. While you're there, browse our calendar of upcoming artist visits!
WYCE's annual CD & Record Sale is entering its 10th year and we're once again accepting donations of LPs, CDs and Cassettes for this fundraising event! The Sale will be held at the Eastown Street Fair on Saturday, September 9th. Your donations of music could be tax deductible and all proceeds of the sale will support WYCE!
All donations are encouraged, regardless of artist or genre, as long as the media is in good shape and in its original case.
Donations will be accepted through Friday, September 1st. Donations may be dropped off to the Community Media Center at 711 Bridge Street North West. Please email cassie@grcmc.org to arrange a time for drop off.
The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan and the Community Media Center present America's Diplomats, a documentary about the U.S. State Department narrated by Kathleen Turner. While our attention on U.S. foreign policy often focuses on failures, scandals, and political controversies, the film reminds us of the talented and dedicated people whose commitment to public service enables American political and economic success in the world.
The screening is tonight at 7pm in Koning Microcinema of Wealthy Theatre.
Suggested donation of $5 at the door.
We are proud to present the Hopcat/WYCE Blue Bridge Music Festival at ArtPrize Nine --- "A World of Music" from right here in West Michigan performed on the iconic Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids during ArtPrize.
