Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo presents "Organissimo" - tomorrow night! - Saturday January 6th at 8pm in the Bell's Eccentric Cafe Back Room. 

The West Michigan based jazz trio was founded back in 2000 with the goal of bringing jazz back to the people. Organissimo's sound is instantly identifiable yet constantly evolving, infusing elements of funk, gospel, blues, progressive rock, and Latin rhythms into a solid foundation of jazz.

Grand Rapids Civic Theatre: All The Way (click for more info)

Grand Rapids Civic Theatre presents ALL THE WAY, the story of Lyndon B. Johnson and Martin Luther King, Jr. 

Performances take place at the Civic Theatre in downtown Grand Rapids, January 12 though 28.

The show follows these two historical figures as they navigate a divided nation in their fight to pass the CIVIL RIGHTS ACT. The show begins with the conflicted Texan, Johnson, as he assumes the presidency and fights for the recognition he so desperately wants.

Civic Theatre is honored to be the FIRST community theatre to bring this production to life, starting  January 12th through January 28. 

Tickets are available online at "G R C T dot org", or at the Civic Theatre Box office, located at 30 Division Avenue North.

The UICA Movie Theater shows independent, international, and documentary movies in downtown Grand Rapids Tuesday through Sunday year round.

Now screening, The Breadwinner, an animated tale that follows Parvana, an 11-year-old girl who lives under Taliban rule in Afghanistan in 2001. After the wrongful arrest of her father, Parvana cuts off her hair and dresses like a boy to support her family. Working alongside a friend, she soon discovers a new world of freedom and danger.
