Urban Roots is a non-profit community farm, market, and education center in the Madison Community of Grand Rapids.
In 2017 Urban Roots launched their bike-powered compost program and has recently announced that they will be expanding service into further areas of Southeast Grand Rapids.
Residents can receive weekly bucket compost pickup services at their home. Participation will help cut down on municipal waste, create local jobs, and cultivate rich soil fertility for our Urban Roots community farm in Madison, and all partner gardens, throughout the city.
