Blues Craftsman & Educator - Duck Sites Robert Petway As An Inspiration
Little Is Known Of Robert Petway's Life Beyond The Sessions Recorded For Bluebird Records In 1941 And '42. Absolutely Nothing Is Known Of Petway After 1942, Only One Picture Ever Taken, Leading To Speculation That Robert Petway Is The Alter Ego Of Another Rough-Edged Delta Player Tommy McClennan, Himself Leaving A Powerful Legacy Of Raw-Boned Blues During A 27 Month Recording Career In Chicago.
