After A Brief Stay In Detroit During The Early 1920's, Speckled Red Made His Recording Debut In Memphis In 1929 Resulting In Two Blues Classics, The Wilkins Street Stomp And The Dirty Dozen. The Next Twenty Years Saw Sporadic Performing And Recording Opportunities For Red. Interest In His Music Regenerated In The '50s With A Signing to Delmark Records. Health Issues Forced Him From the Music Business A Few Years Later And Rufus Perryman Passed On In 1973
