"Jungle Fever" was originally recorded in 1971 by a group of Belgian studio musicians performing under the name The Chakachas. The song reached #8 in the 1972 United States Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at #29 in the UK. It was banned by the BBC, who took exception to the song's heavy breathing and moaning.The Chakachas version was also featured on the Boogie Nights soundtrack.
