Mark Rumsey will discuss his process and inspiration for his current exhibition, Memory Map: Roof Line to State Street, which features braids of re-purposed textiles. This event takes place on Friday December 6th at 5:30pm.

An American Boogie-Woogie Blues Pianist, Regarded As The Leading Exponent Of The "Barrelhouse" Style Of Playing, First Recording In 1929, After Which Disappearing From Public Record For a Few Years. Rediscovered in 1946, Montana Recorded Solo And As Accompanist to Bertha "Chippie" Hill. The Later Recordings Proved He Had Lost None Of His Instrumental Abilities, And Had Developed As A Singer; these Were His Last Recordings. Arthur "Montana" Taylor Passed On In 1957.
