Vintage Vinyl Spin: Ira And Charlie Served As The Link Between The Delmore Brothers And The Everly Brothers. The Brothers First Performed As The Radio Twins In 1942, And Became Members Of The Grand Ole Opry Thirteen Years Later. Commercial Success Did Not Happen Until Their Signing With Capitol In 1952. The Brothers High, Lonesome Harmonies, Were Closer To Country Music Of The 1930's Than The Honky-Tonk Or Country-Pop Of The Mid-1950's. Gram Parsons And Emmylou Harris Introduced The Louvin's Songs To Rock World; Several Tributes Have Been Recorded Over The Years Honoring The Ground-Breaking Duo That Helped Shape Authentic Country Music The Louvin Brothers Were Elected To The Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2001.
