Boogie Bill Webb

Seven Sister Blues
Giants Of Country Blues Guitar Vol. 2, 1975-1982 1998 via Wolf
a note about this track

Born In Mississippi And Raised In New Orleans, Boogie Bill Webb's Playing Is Rooted In The Venerable Cadences Of Delta Blues. Webb's Mentor Was The Great Tommy Johnson, And By The Time Johnson Died In 1956, Boogie Bill's Position As His Musical Heir Was Secure. Despite A Lengthy (Albeit Intermittent) Career, Webb Released Only One Album, And Remained Solidly True To The Traditional Mold, Delving Into His Delta Roots To Re-create The Music That Originally Inspired Him, But Never Really Found His Niche In The Flamboyant New Orleans Scene. Boogie Bill Webb Passed On In 1990.
