Blues Spotlight: The Recording Name Of Charley Hicks, The Elder Brother Of Robert "Barbecue Bob" Hicks, Part Of Loose Collaborative Playing the Streets Of Atlanta Known As "The Georgia Cotton Pickers." Their Instinctive Melding Of Ragtime Music With The Piedmont Style Of Fingerpicking, And The Country Harp Blowing Of Buddy Moss Made Them A Favorite In The Deep South. After the Group Went Their Separate Ways, Charley Continued To Perform Solo Until 1955. Charlie Hicks, Jr. Passed On In Prison In 1963.
