Typically this time of year we would be gearing up for a night out in Grand Rapids together, packed with some of the best music of the year from Michigan musicians. 

Unfortunately we have postponed that celebration until late Spring or early Summer of 2021 but look forward to being together then.

Blues Spotlight: Often Cited As The First Delta Bluesman To Make A Record, Freddie Spruell Cut Two Sides In June 1926 After Relocating Louisiana. His Piercing Voice And 12-String Guitar Playing Brought Him To Attention Of Lester Melrose. Signing A Contract In 1935 With Bluebird Records, Papa Freddie cut Nine More Songs,Two Accompanied By Washboard Sam. That Concluded Freddie's Known Activities Until Resurfacing In The 1940's As An Ordained Minister. Freddie Spruell Passed On In 1956.
