1954 - Little Milton Absorbed The Early Radio Shows Of The Grand Ole Opry, Fusing Music He Heard With The Other Two Predominant Musical Influences Of The Mississippi Delta: Gospel & Blues. Recording A Few Sides For Sun Records Without Much Fanfare, Milton Relocated To St. Louis And Signed With Checker Records. As A Producer He Guided the Young Careers Of Albert King And Fontella Bass While Experiencing His Own Success. For The Next Forty Years, Little Milton Signed With Numerous Labels, And Struggled To Maintain A Career. In 1988, Little Milton Was Inducted Into the Blues Hall Of Fame And Won The Prestigious W.C. Handy Award. James Milton Campbell, Jr Passed On In 2005. He Was Posthumously Honored With A Marker On The Mississippi Blues Trail In Inverness, MS.
