Relocating To Chicago In The Mid-30.s, Arnold Was A Major Player On The Circuit. A Bootlegger By Trade, Arnold Cut His First Sides In 1930 Billed As Gitfiddle Jim. After The Repeal Of Prohibition, He Hooked Up With Kansas Joe McCoy, And Signed With Decca Records, Recording Eighty-Eight Tracks In Four Years. Quitting The Business Not Long After, Arnold Worked Various Factory Jobs, And Dropped Out Of Sight, Until Being Located By Blues Researchers During The Folk/Blues Revival On The 1960's. Kokomo Arnold Had No Enthusiasm For Resurrecting His Recording Career, And Refused To Be A Part Of That Revival. James Arnold Passed On In 1968.
