Spent Some Time As A Sharecropper In Montana During The Early Thirties, And Met Up With Robert Jr. Lockwood Gigging Their Way to Chicago, But Parted Ways In Arkansas. Shines Played Guitar For Howlin' Wolf And Sonny Boy ll, Signed With Chess Records And Led His Own Band For A Few Years. Johnny Appeared In The Documentary Film 'Searching For Robert Johnson', And Recorded One Album With Snooky Pryor In 1991. John Ned Shines Passed On In 1992.
