Barely In His Twenties, He Found Work In New York As A Pianist For A Traveling Road Show Called The Cotton Club Revue. Not Long After Buddy Put Together A Nine-Piece Orchestra That Played Blues Tunes And Riff Based Jump And Boogie Dance Numbers Leading To A Recording Contract with Decca Records. The Organization Barnstormed The Country To Sellout Crowds Throughout The '40's. Rock & Roll Eventually Halted Johnson's Momentum - A Class Act Whose Depth Of Work And Brilliance Continues To Be Discovered. Woodrow Wilson Johnson Passed On In 1977.
