The recently expanded Tuesday Evening Music Club brings talented local and regional musicians to the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater stage every Tuesday evening throughout June, July and August!
Concerts begin at 7 pm and there's room for picnics! These outdoor performances are included in Meijer Gardens membership and for any general admission visitor to the Gardens on Tuesdays.

Blues Spotlight: Edith Wilson - Among The First Group Of African-American Women Referred To As Vaudeville Or Cabaret Blues Singers That In The Early '20s Followed Mamie Smith Into The Recording Studios, Edith Wilson Entered Show Business At Louisville's Park Theater In 1919 Prior to Joining Johnny Dunn's Jazz Hounds Two Years Later For A Series Seventeen Records; Making Few Recordings In Subsequent Years Until She Made Her Comeback In The 1970s. Wilson Was A Recognized Actress, Winning Critical Mention In A Bogart/Bacall Film, And Active In Early Network Television Prior To Retiring In 1963. A Decade Later Eubie Blake And Little Brother Montgomery Coaxed Her Out Of Retirement To Join Terry Waldo's Gutbucket Synchopators. Edith Wilson's Last Appearance Was the Newport Jazz Festival In 1980; Passing On One Later After An Accomplished Sixty-Two Year Career. West Michigan Killer Blues Headstone Project Placed A Headstone On Edith Wilson's Unmarked Grave In 2020.
