West Michigan's Biggest Night of Music, the WYCE Jammie Awards, returns for its 23rd year on Friday, February 24th at the Intersection! 

This year's Jammies will feature 20 Michigan bands on 3 stages with award presentations for Best Album of 2022, Song of the Year, the Listener Choice Awards, and much more. 

Doors for this all-ages event open at 5:30pm and music starts at 6. Entry is a suggested donation of $5, and we will also be collecting canned donations at the door for Feeding America West Michigan.

Blues Spotlight: Known As The Honeydripper, Roosevelt Sykes Was One Of The Most Important Of The Several Piano Blues Innovators Who Came Out Of St. Louis During The Inter-War Years. He Cut Quite The Figure; Elegant Suit, Fat Cigar, And Pounded The Keys In A Rowdy Barrelhouse Style. First Recording Came In 1929. Sykes Widen His Range To Include Memphis And Chicago. An Incredible, Highly-Influential Forty-Year Career Slowed Down As He Entered His Seventies His Voice And Piano Playing Remained Strong To The End. Roosevelt Passed On In 1984.
