It was a bit of a challenge trying to find a biography of Ibrahim Hesnawi. Most of the bio information I found just mention his honorific of The Father of Libyan Reggae. The tracks appear to have been recorded back in the 70s, perhaps? I couldn't find out exact years. I was able to learn that Hesnawi was still around as of 2022 in an Instagram post showing him holding the album.
