Gary Jules

Dtla (Downtown Los Angeles)
Trading Snakeoil For Wolftickets 2001 via Sanctuary
a note about this track

To “sell wolf tickets,” an expression that's about 60 years old, is to oversell yourself—to spread boasts or threats that you can't (or won't) back up. Another example is the Chuck E. Weiss album called "Old Souls and Wolf tickets"

I Can Help
Queen of Time 2023 via Kill Rock Stars Nashville
a note about this track

"I Can Help" was originally an unlikely 1974 #1 hit for a guy in Kris Kristofferson's backing band named Billy Swan. Swan recorded the song live-in-studio, singing and playing a dinky Farfisa organ that he’d borrowed from a session guy. At the end, you can hear the members of the band burst into applause — possibly because he’d nailed the song in two takes, while his German shepherd puppy was tugging on his pants leg.
