Grammotones  is located at 120 South Division Avenue and features original designs by local artists and upcycled accent pieces.

Grammotones celebrates its Grand Opening TODAY, Friday, February 16th, with a ribbon cutting at 11 am this morning, and music by Grand Rapids DJ AB, plus a 21 and up Grand Opening After Party with live music from Lady Ace Boogie from 7-9pm.

This year's Jammies will feature 19 Michigan bands on three stages, including live music from (**mention 4 of the bands listed below) 15 other bands!  

We will also award Jammies for Best Album of 2023, Song of the Year, and the brand new Against All Odds Award presented by Varnum Law. 

Doors open for this all-ages show at 5:30 pm, and music starts at 6. Entry is a suggested donation of $5, and we will also be collecting canned donations at the door for Feeding America West Michigan.

On February 17, the Grand Rapids Public Library presents a celebration of Afrofuturism!

Teacher and scholar Dr. Julian Chambliss will speak about the intersection of comics, movies, technology, and activism.

In honor of black history month this February, the Grand Rapids Public Library is offering special programming for kids, teens, and adults that highlights and celebrates our Black community.

Black History Month programming at the Grand Rapids Public Library includes presentations by GRPL staff, local businesses, and artists throughout February.

Families are invited to visit the Main Library on February 17 for a special showing of the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.  Musically inspired, age-appropriate crafts and popcorn from Mosby's Popcorn will also be available on a first come, first served basis

Black History Month storytimes will highlight Black stories and include songs, fingerplays, and hands-on fun.
