The Grand Rapids City Commission invites community members to its first City Commission Night Out meeting of the year on Tuesday, March 19th, at Harrison Park Academy.
This is the first of three Commission Night Out meetings. It includes an engagement session, a business meeting, and public hearings.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner from by El Granjero (gran-hair-o) Catering. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., City of Grand Rapids departments will host information tables and giveaways.
The meeting will also air on Comcast Channel 26 and be live-streamed on the City of Grand Rapids Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Community members of all ages are invited to attend the Blandford Nature Center's Sugarbush Festival on Saturday, March 23rd from 10am-2pm at Blandford Nature Center.
Featuring the opportunity to explore and learn along Blandford Nature Center's Sugarbush Trail.
Festival attendees can learn to identify and tap Sugar Maple trees, explore historic sugaring techniques of Native Americans and Pioneers, and get an inside look at Blandford's Sugarhouse and syrup-making process.
Blandford Sugarbush Festival attendees should pre-register and purchase tickets ahead of time online, or walk-in registration will be available at the door.
