Mental Health Foundation West Michigan (*BE NICE STOMP OUT STIGMA WALK 2024 ) (click for more info)

The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan is sponsoring its annual Stomp Out Stigma 5k Walk for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention on Saturday, May 18 at the GVSU Campus -Seward Lot in Downtown Grand Rapids. 

Registration begins at 8 AM on the day of the walk and the walk begins at 9 AM. Proceeds from the walk benefit Be Nice programs and awareness throughout the West Michigan community.

The "Be Nice" action plan educates students about mental illnesses and encourages them to exchange stereotypes for understanding, compassion, and acceptance.

Registration is FREE for the Stomp Out Stigma 5k Walk, and available now at BeNice dot org.  That's be nice dot o-r-g.

Hope for Single Moms Grand Rapids is hosting a fundraiser and watch party to celebrate the Detroit Tigers opener on March 28th. 

The fundraiser will feature the opportunity to meet 1984 Tiger World Series champion pitcher, Dave Rozema (Rose-uh-ma), and 1997 MI State NCAA National Champion, Jay Vincent at Five Lakes Brew Pub at Tanger Outlets, Byron Center. 

The event begins at noon, and includes a silent auction to benefit Hope for Single Moms. Fans can catch the Tiger game on the big screens beginning at 4:00 pm. The event is free to the public.
