Blandford Nature Center -FREE IN APRIL (click for more info)
Blandford Nature Center celebrates Earth Day for the entire month of April by offering FREE admission beginning Monday, April 1st through Tuesday, April 30th. 

This month of free admission includes some complimentary programming and activities at Blandford Nature Center,  located at 1715 Hillburn Ave NW in Grand Rapids.

Throughout April, Blandford's trails and grounds will be open daily from dawn to dusk. The Visitor Center will be open Monday-Saturday from 9 to 5pm. 

Guests will have access to 264 acres of forests, meadows, and wetlands, plus 8 miles of trails including 1 mile of ADA accessible trails, and much more.

Free admission during April was made possible by a donation from Lake Michigan Credit Union.

Delta Project-The Gratitude Concert (click for more info)

The Delta Project is proud to present the The Gratitude Concert.

The Gratitude Concert, happening Saturday, May 11th at Wealthy Theatre will recognize people who are making a difference every day here in West Michigan, but who often go unnoticed.

The concert is headlined by Mykal Rose, Grammy Award winning reggae artist of Black Uhuru fame, with performances by Loftside Story and ISOBEL.

All proceeds benefit The Delta Project, which works to support youth and families dealing with the juvenile justice system in Michigan.

Mental Health Foundation West Michigan (*BE NICE STOMP OUT STIGMA WALK 2024 ) (click for more info)

The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan is sponsoring its annual Stomp Out Stigma 5k Walk for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention on Saturday, May 18 at the GVSU Campus -Seward Lot in Downtown Grand Rapids. 

Registration begins at 8 AM on the day of the walk and the walk begins at 9 AM. Proceeds from the walk benefit Be Nice programs and awareness throughout the West Michigan community.

The "Be Nice" action plan educates students about mental illnesses and encourages them to exchange stereotypes for understanding, compassion, and acceptance.

Registration is FREE for the Stomp Out Stigma 5k Walk, and available now at BeNice dot org.  That's be nice dot o-r-g.
