The Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan is sponsoring its annual Stomp Out Stigma 5k Walk for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention on Saturday, May 18 at the GVSU Campus -Seward Lot in Downtown Grand Rapids.
Registration begins at 8 AM on the day of the walk and the walk begins at 9 AM. Proceeds from the walk benefit Be Nice programs and awareness throughout the West Michigan community.
The "Be Nice" action plan educates students about mental illnesses and encourages them to exchange stereotypes for understanding, compassion, and acceptance.
