The Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) celebrates National Native American Heritage Month in November and invites the public to enjoy programs and experiences designed for both kids and adults that highlight and celebrate our Native American communities. 

On November 16,  Grand Rapids Public Library presents "Reg Pettibone & Family" from 3-4pm. Reg Pettibone, champion pow-wow dancer, and his family will perform traditional dances and songs plus stories about Native American culture.

Both events are at the main library branch in downtown Grand Rapids.

The Michigan Music Alliance is pleased to announce Sounds Like Michigan, a live music fundraiser on Saturday, November 23 at the Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids in partnership with Local Spins, Triumph Music Academy, and 88.1 FM WYCE.

The inaugural event will include an evening of live performances, limited-edition merchandise, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, networking, and more. 
 
Detroit-Ypsilanti folk-rock trio Frontier Ruckus will headline the event, and additional acts will be announced soon via Opnr. 

Proceeds will support the Michigan Music Alliance's educational programming and artist performances.
