The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan presents an eight-week series on the most important global issues facing our world right now in its award-winning "Great Decisions" series. 

Next up: Hear from and dialogue with Gert-Jan Segers, former member of the Dutch Parliament, on "NATO from a European Perspective" this coming Tuesday, February 18, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. 

An opening meet-and-greet is set from 5-6 p.m. All are welcome.

The Grand Rapids Public Library is proud to announce the 57th Annual Dyer-Ives Poetry Competition. 

The competition is open to Kent County ages 5 through adult who reside in or attend school in Kent County.

Poets can submit one original, unpublished poem now through February 28th.  

Submitting poems is free and winners selected in different categories have their poems published in Voices, plus a cash award.

More information about  the 57th Annual Dyer-Ives Poetry Competition is available at grpl dot org.
