During His Youth, SykesWould Hobo Back And Forth Between St. Louis And New Orleans And Learned All He Could About Barrelhouse Playing - He Signed With Decca Records In 1935, Relocated To Chicago and Soon Became An In-Demand Session Player Backing Memphis Minnie And Washboard Sam - The Honeydrippers Came Formed In 1944, Recorded And Performed For A Decade Together - Roosevelt Sykes Recorded What Is Now Considered A Classic Release In 1973, Recorded At The Ann Arbor Blues Festival; Continued To Perform Up To The Very End, July 1983
