Gilda's Club Grand Rapids continues the tradition of Camp Sparkle for its 24th year with two camp sessions: June 16-20;  and June 23-27. 

Camp Sparkle, which supports overall emotional health, is free to attend and open to children from all surrounding communities. 

It provides children with a chance to connect and interact with other children who have gone through cancer, or been impacted by a cancer journey, or the death of a family member or friend with cancer.

Pre-registration is required and can be done online at gildasclubgr dot org

The session is designed to offer information about installing and using solar in your home.

The event is open to the public at no charge, but registration is encouraged.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Friday, with tunes from Chicago's "DJ Alexander Great," plus hands-on art activities, food trucks, and live music with Rudy de Anda and his 5-piece band at 7:30 p.m.
