WYCE Record Sale Donations 2025 (click for more info)

For a limited time, WYCE is accepting gently used record donations for our annual WYCE Record and CD Sale at the Eastown Street fair on Saturday, September 6th. 

Donations of your used vinyl LPs and 45s can be dropped off at the Community Media Center, 711 Bridge Street Northwest, during regular business hours of 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 9 AM to 5 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  

All proceeds support West Michigan's only volunteer-powered, independent community radio station, WYCE!

Tuesday Evening Music Club brings local and regional musicians to the Meijer Gardens Amphitheater Tuesday nights, through August 26th.

Uptown hosts community events throughout the year, including First Fridays- held the first Friday of each month- when businesses stay open late for neighborhood festivities.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office is hosting National Night Out 2025 on Tuesday, August 5, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, at two Grand Rapids locations: South Christian High School at 7979 Kalamazoo Ave SE, and the Mary Free Bed YMCA at 5500 Burton St SE.

National Night Out is a nationwide campaign that promotes police and community relationships and neighborhood relationships to make our communities safer and more united.

This event is free and open to all community members at both locations. 

Attendees can meet deputies, explore emergency vehicles, and enjoy live demonstrations from police, fire, EMS, the road commission, and military personnel.  There will be kids' activities and giveaways as well.
