Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield booked 2 days of studio time, in May of 1968. On the first day, utilizing a backing band, "Super Session", side 1, (tracks 1-5), were recorded. Story goes, when Bloomfield, who suffered from "chronic insomnia", didn't show for day two, Kooper called in,... Stephen Stills. The second side of the album, (tracks 6-9), were then recorded, featuring some stellar, on short notice, lead guitar,... by Stills. (this is the 7th track as originally recorded...
