Detroit native...grew up with the Motown sounds and the Detroit rock scene. First concert was with Iggy and the stooges back in 1972...wow what an eye opener!! So many great venues in Detroitt such as the Grandy Ballroom, Michigan Palace , Cobo Hall and the old Olympia stadium( the past red wing home) To many concerts to list them all! Spent a lot of my money on concerts and collecting the bigger cds...better known as albums!!! A few years later the sounds of jazz caught my ears with the exploration of the fusion movement...Chick Corea...Mahavishnu Orchestra...etc. Thought I knew a few things about music until I found wyce upon moving to Grand Rapids back in the late 1980s. My tastes have changed somewhat over the years...thanks to wyce...love that singer songwriter/Americana scene and I am sure there will always be something new to explore!!! Have enjoyed Blissfest the past 15yrs and that has had a great impact on my musical tastes...Hope to see you soon at many of the musical venues and watering holes..Peace Mark Gerard
