Michigan has, for some time now, been a deep resource for songwriters and roots musicians. Two favorites, Seth Bernard and Daisy May Erlewine, well-known to audiences as single acts, have been touring the country and performing together for over two years. Together with Dominic Suchyta on bass, Drew Howard on pedal steel and Andrea Moreno-Beals on cello, these musicians create the Copper Country Quintet. Their sound is classic but not worn out. Some songs show their roots in 60's folk music, while others are more contemporary. Many even have traces of hawaiian influenced guitar. earthworkmusic.com
