JENNY LEWIS with THE WATSON TWINS

Rabbit Fur Coat

2006-02-13

Singer Jenny Lewis is best known for her work with indie super group Rilo Kiley, but ventures into new territory with her solo debut Rabbit Fur Coat. Lewis recruited Kentucky-born sisters the Watson Twins to back her on this country-tinged album that recalls early Rilo Kiley. Lewis’ vocals easily transition from rock to blues and ballads, making Rabbit Fur Coat one of the most memorable releases early in the new year. Make special note of the Dusty Springfield styled Rise Up With Fists!!!, the Mazzy Star flavored Melt Your Heart and the soft yet haunting title track, Rabbit Fur Coat. -Sarah Minnick
