Summer Cannibals

Show Us Your Mind

2015-05-15

This energetic pop-punk sophomore release from Portland-based Summer Cannibals is grungey and dirty. A very strong “garage band”, 90’s punk rock feel from start to finish with a few soft rock songs thrown into the mix. The playing is a little sloppy, but contributes to the aesthetic, along with powerful vocals and a steady rhythm section. Lyrically interesting and balanced, the album changes moods sporadically between hyper girl punk and solemn grunge, making it an easy, fun listen.
