MARC BROUSSARD

A LIFE WORTH LIVING

2014-08-11

Louisiana's Marc Broussard delivers a beautiful, personal, introspective disc that showcases the songwriting and vocal talents of one of music's most underrated stars. The opening track Hurricane Heart tells the story of a relationship gone bad and how hard the pieces are to repair after a hurricane. Dyin Man is funky, loud, unpolished and a rocking gem. Perfect To Me is sure to be a standout wedding track and should be sung to every bride. The title track A Life Worth Living is a deeply personal song that Marc wrote as his Grand mother was taking her last breaths and a celebrates her life. Another Day features a duet with Genevieve Schatz from the Company of Theives. On the track Shine, Marc once again picks up the tempo which continues through Give Em Hell The CD concludes with I'll Never Know once again dealing with what and how do we make sense of relationships and the world within. This is a great vocalist and sonwriters disc at his prime. Reviewed By: Gregg Saur
