LOCAL ARTIST! Singer-songwriter-guitarist Matt Plessner performs in and around Grand Rapids. He also owns and runs Solid Sound Music, a Grand Rapids based mobile DJ service which also serves as the label for this CD. Before arriving in Grand Rapids, Matt earned his college degree in Mass Communication, then followed with a year in St Louis, Missouri attending The Broadcast Center radio training school and working as a mobile DJ. He furthered his mobile DJ experience in Peoria, Illinois. From there he worked professionally as an on-air radio personality, and then in radio production. That brought him to Grand Rapids.

Plessner wrote or co-wrote all the material on A Forever Recovery, sings lead vocals, and performs on Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Bass, Mandolin, Harmonica, and keyboards. Bandmates Joel Ferguson, Joel Udell, and Marley Ferguson round out the cast.

Matt Plessner has put together a nice mix of mid and uptempo singer-centric performances that fit into a gentle balladeer framework. Comparisons to James Taylor or to Plain White T's (in their mellower moods) are apt.
