Jorane

The You and the Now

2005-04-12

Jorane is already a best-selling artist in her native Canada, with two previous studio releases, a live disc, and several film scores to her credit.

Though her previous work has largely been written in French, she hopes to find an audience for her ethereal sound here in the U.S. by making the leap to English.

Long-time 4AD and Six Degrees Records producer, guitarist and fellow Canadian Michael Brook produces the album. Daniel Lanois and Lisa Germano co-write songs for the new disc. The photos with all the bows seem to be for eye-catching purposes, not the way she actually performs.
