This rather heftily staffed, modern big band sounding jazz group from Belgium has really been making a name for themselves outside of Europe. This album holds no mysteries as to why the extremely talented and appropriately named group’s popularity has been growing. The album is packed with ripping brass solos, clever beats, phenomenal dynamics, and the new addition of organ and synthesizer to spice things up even more. Some of the tracks are lacking substance, such as 9 and 1, but the rest pick up the slack. The features on this track are 3 “Gulls and Buoys,” the bluesy 4 “Edward, Why Don’t You Play Some Blues?” and the creepy action movie soundtrack style in 13 Ich, Bin, George.” -Jake BurrittMARY RADEMACHER & RICK REUTHER
