Beth Nielsen Chapman, one of the best-known songwriters in Nashville, had writer's block while working on this record -- and for good reason. It turns out she had a brain tumor (gratefully benign) and surgery was successful. The words poured out and this set was the result. After plenty of tumult in her life (she lost her husband to cancer some years back and had an earlier bout with cancer), she has delivered a joy-filled series of songs, with the word "love" in five of the titles. Her voice is beautiful, very clear and precise. "Even as it All Goes By" is a big hit in the U.K. now. Check out "I Can See Me Loving You" (a nice duet with Darrell Scott), "More Than Love" and the lovely "Peace." MJVD 05/10 F-ContemporaryBROTHER ADAMS
